Evans Vanodine has been developing and manufacturing cleaning and hygiene products for over 100 years. Its products cover an extensive range of applications for the industrial, janitorial, food process and animal health sectors, with Evans being one of very few companies to offer hygiene security from the farm to the fork. Over the years, the company’s products have not only been used by the British Team at the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games, but also used to protect the public, when moon dust went on show in Manchester, brought back from the 1969 moon landing.
Established in 1919 by William Charles Evans, the company has grown from one small laboratory and an office to become a world leader in the hygiene chemical industry, operating on a 5-acre site which includes three in-house laboratories. The company, which is still owned and run by the Evans family, currently sells its products in over 85 countries worldwide.
Evans has built a reputation on innovation and commitment to research and development. In-house microbiologists and chemists enable us to deliver quality and consistency at every stage of production and the company has achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Our microbiology laboratory holds UKAS accreditation for the testing of disinfectants, ensuring products are fit for purpose and that virucidal and bactericidal claims are substantiated by European Standard EN test methods.
Evans has also been recognised with two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in International Trade and holds Planet Mark accreditation for sustainability.
In addition to its products, Evans provides a variety of training support and technical manuals and shares information and international expertise with its distributors and customers. This helps to ensure the most up to date and efficient methods of cleaning and disinfection are being used throughout the industry.
Commitment to quality and service is deeply rooted in the Evans family tradition. William’s legacy is continuing thanks to the fifth generation of Evans now working for the company, who, together with dedicated staff, ensure continued success for Evans Vanodine and its customers for the next one-hundred years.
